Windstorm '06!!

It seems like every year I've lived in Seattle, there is a moment on the news where we hear caution of "Windstorm [fill in the appropriate year]!" In fact, I believe that there was a moment late Thursday night/early Friday morning where GB and I had the following conversation after being woken up from the insanely loud wind (which, by the way, is a lot scarier when you have essentially an entire wall made of window):
GB: Windstorm 'O6!
me: (nervously) heh heh.

But looky. It really was a freaking windstorm! These pictures are within a two block radius of our place. The tree in the second pic took out six cars, people - six!

holy crap! Any big trees outside your windows?

NO, thankfully!
Bad things about being so high up with a wall full of windows: 70 MPH wind is so loud that it makes me uncontrollably squeeze deano dog in terror. he tried to act cool and like he was sleeping or something but I'm sure if he had opposable thumbs he'd be clinging on to me like a big baby.
Good things about being so high up with a wall full of windows: lovely view; no trees or powerlines are near or tall enough to come crashing though.

I can't believe that car is actually UPSIDE DOWN.

Alright, I have to fess up - that is just a freak accident of my mad photo skillz, dog. The car is still upright it's just that the window completely popped out giving the illusion of upsidedown-ness.
